Mobile Strike Commander

Commander equipment can make huge difference to your attack, defense and health stats. Consider that just two level 5 troop health mods, provide a 40% boost troop health. To get the same boost from research (Troop Health 9 to Troop Health 10) takes over 600 days and requires over 70 million resources! You can soon see how important equipment and mods are.

A well equipped commander can easily make the difference between winning an attack, or suffering a huge defeat. This guide looks at two commander equipment builds: one for defense and another for attack.

Commander Defense Equipment and Mod Build

A Mobile Strike defensive build is completely different to an attack build. In some respects defense is a lot harder to prep for than attack. As the attacker, you can easily stack a boost for a single troop type and then send a full deployment of that troop for maximum damage.

Defense is a whole different ball game, for one simple reason: you never know which of the three troop types will attack you next.

You will therefore need to train equal numbers of each troop type, which means you really want to stack boosts for troop health and troop defense, because these two boosts apply to all three troop types. Out of the two, troop health is marginally better than defense, but both are great boosts for a defensive build.

Below is a list of the best troop health and defense equipment as at 17 March 2016.

Each item can fit three mods, but only one of each type. With seven pieces of gear you can fit seven health mods and seven defense mods, leaving one gap free (a trap mod works well here).

Maxing Troop Health I & II and Troop Defense I & II in the Commander skill tree will add a further 100% to both troop health and defense.

Researching Troop Health 10 and Troop Defense 10 will give you a 131% boost to each and researching each individual troop defense adds a further 131% to troop defense.

VIP 10 also adds a 15% to both troop defense and troop health.

With a full legendary set you will be able to get your troop health over 490% and defense over 600%.

Finally remember that every level 21 training ground adds 10% to troop defense and every level 21 hospital adds a 5% bonus to Troop Health. You can also activate a 12 hour troop defense item.

Commander Attack Equipment and Mod Build

For a Mobile Strike attack build, you will need to focus on one troop type: either infantry, tactical or armored vehicles. You will be able to stack one troop attack type much higher than trying to concentrate on all three.

Infantry

Below is a list of the best infantry attack equipment in Mobile Strike as at 17 March 2016.

Grand Total   51.6% 87.9% 138.2% 190.8% 258.7% 348.8%

With seven pieces of gear you can fit seven infantry attack mods, leaving two gaps free (I usually put a troop health and defense mod in the spare slots on each item).

Maxing Infantry Attack I and II in the commander skill tree will add a further 71% to infantry attack.

Researching Infantry Attack to level 10 will provide 131% to infantry attack.

VIP 10 also adds 15% to troop attack.

With a full legendary set you will be able to get infantry attack over 565%.

Finally remember to activate a 12 hour troop attack item.

Update: As pointed out by War Daddy, you can use your second and third mod slots to put in Winter and Spring Mods. This adds a further 168% to infantry attack, bringing your total up to 733%.

Maxing Tactical Attack I and II in the Commander skill tree will add a further 71% to tactical attack.

Researching Tactical Attack to level 10 will provide 131% to tactical attack.

Summary

What can we take from the above data? Well for a defensive build there is a fairly clear cut path for the best equipment to manufacture (based on current equipment in Mobile Strike). Getting your health and defense between 500% to 600% will make you a really tough opponent for most single deployments.

For attack you should specialize on one troop type. Out of the three, infantry has a slight edge based on the current equipment in game, allowing an impressive 733% boost before adding temporary attack boosts.

Armored Vehicles and Tactical don’t come in far behind with a 715% boost, but remember new gear is constantly added to Mobile Strike, so it could all change in the future.

Has new gear been released since this guide was written, or have you spotted a better item I have missed?

Let us know in the comments and I’ll look at update the data.

  1. Is there a maximum number you can send to combat… I went on attack and it only used about a third of my army… do i need to upgrade a building or do I need extra equipment

  2. Number of troops you can send to combat is limited by your HQ level. You could however use a deployment boost to increase your deployment size by 50% for a few hours. Cost quite a bit of gold though.

  3. So say I put all of my attack bonuses into 1 type of troop (infantry)Like you said, do I only just send those kind of troops or should I do mix but have a greater number of infantry troops or should I only just send infantry?

    • Ideally you would only send infantry, however you would want to fill your deployment, so if you didn’t have enough infantry, you would fill up with other troops. The only exception would be if you find a player with a pure army of the opposing troop (for infantry that would be tactical). This is unlikely though.

  4. I have an infantry attack set over 700%

  5. Was curious if you had any type of table that listed what targets dropped what type of materials consistently, so if we needed a microchip, this target drops that and so on.

  6. What is the best equipment for my level 47 commander, for defense and attack????

  7. I’m curious about “unique” un manufacturable items. Are they better than gold level items?

  8. What’s the best equipment to use to take out trap accounts and not take heavy losses.
Is there a setup for trap account hunting?

    • Trap accounts are designed to take solo hits. If you got enough troops to lose then be a warrior and take them out but I wouldn’t suggest it. Trap accounts usually can be gang banged with 3 or 4 T4 players hitting them at the same time with different troop types. Then the trapper will immediately shield. Trappers also do not take on a rally as they do not stand a chance of holding up against 2.375 million T4’s unless they have built their base on pure T2’s ( about 10 to 12 million ) will surely hold up a full T4 rally. So my suggestion to you would be leave the trappers to be and find other players to burn. Equipment aren’t designed to take out traps they’re designed to kill certain troop types based on mods and research completed.

  9. I have level 50 commander and level 21 HQ. What is the best gear for attack and defense? How can I speedup my deployments?

  10. Can you update the list of gear or is this still the best assortment out?

  11. Hi, could you tell me the best mods to attach to my attacking gear please. I’ve targeted armoured vehicle attacking mainly, thanks

  12. What about a best mixed set? In reality people don’t train one troops type so why have gear to boost only one troops type? You SHOULD be sending a even mix of all troops besides artillery.

    • For attacking sending a mix of troop types is hardly ever the best strategy. You should send a full deployment of one troop type.

Most players will get to a point where they have enough troops to fill a deployment with one type, so it doesn’t matter if you have a mix of troop types.

  13. when putting the mods into the gear is troop health not important for attack gear.

say for example i have infantry gear and 1 x infantry mod. 1 x mixed mod which has 1/2 infantry. the third mod should it be mixed 12.5% infantry attack or troop health 25% boost.

    your thoughts?

  14. Kane, am i correct to say that. When adding mods for an attack setup is attack power more effective than troop health or defense?

  15. im pushing 759% on my infantry attack…. double down smg,double take mask,double armor,double speed shoes,drum roll x3

  16. What color codes for legendary and elite equipment? So confused

  17. what is the difference of overall troop boost and troop boost?

  18. How do I use full gear set crates I’ve used 2 but I can’t find the any where
